The IRCC has issued 500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates in the Canadian Experience Class during the second Express Entry draw of the week

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted its latest Express Entry draw, issuing invitations to apply (ITAs).

In this draw, 500 ITAs were awarded exclusively to candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). To be eligible, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 539.

Earlier this week, the IRCC also invited 1,613 Express Entry candidates who had received Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nominations, requiring a minimum CRS score of 739.

The last draw prior to this took place on September 19, where 4,000 candidates from the CEC were invited. Those candidates needed a minimum CRS score of 509, reflecting a slight rise from the previous CEC draw on August 27, which had a cutoff of 507.

CEC draws have become more frequent over the summer, with the IRCC issuing 21,800 ITAs to CEC candidates since July. This trend aligns with the IRCC’s goal to increase domestic draws and decrease the number of temporary residents in Canada, while also helping to achieve its permanent resident targets for the year.

This recent draw marks the second of the month. In October of last year, the IRCC conducted four draws, inviting a total of 9,173 candidates.
