Canada has extended 3,300 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates in the Canadian Experience Class in its most recent Express Entry draw.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in its second Express Entry draw of the week. In this Canadian Experience Class (CEC)-only draw, 3,300 candidates were invited, with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 507 required for consideration.

The previous day, IRCC conducted a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-only draw, inviting 1,121 candidates who needed a minimum CRS score of 694.

The most recent series of Express Entry draws occurred between August 13 and August 15. On August 13, Canada invited 763 candidates in a PNP-only draw with a minimum CRS score of 690. The August 14 draw targeted 3,200 CEC candidates with a minimum score of 509. On August 15, a category-based selection draw focused on candidates with French-speaking proficiency.

IRCC has recently adopted a pattern of holding multiple draws every other week, with an emphasis on PNP and CEC draws. This strategy aligns with the department’s goal of reducing the number of temporary residents in Canada and achieving its permanent resident admissions targets as outlined in the Immigration Levels Plan 2024-2026.

For 2024, IRCC aims to welcome 110,770 newcomers through Express Entry, increasing to 117,500 in 2025. Candidates who receive ITAs later in the year are expected to contribute significantly to meeting the 2025 target, given IRCC’s six-month service standard for processing finalized Express Entry applications.
